Joseph Andrew Kimmell

Joseph Andrew Kimmell, 54, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. He was born on August 28, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late James Kimmell and Helen Kimmell.

Joe was a graduate of Westfield High School and IUPUI. For 10 years Joe owned a durable medical equipment company in Indianapolis and worked in the medical field for over 30 years.

Joe was a loving, devoted husband, a compassionate and caring man who went out of his way to help others. He was a fabulous cook who loved entertaining family and friends. Joe had a sharp intellect and a great sense of humor. He had a deep love of God and respect for nature.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Catherine Kimmell; along with Jeff and Sarah Freehill, dear friends who were more like family than anything else; brother, Jeffrey Kimmell of California; brother, James Kimmell, of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephew, Jake Kimmell of Indianapolis, Indiana; step-sister, Deanna Foster, of Greenwood, Indiana; step-brother, David Navarra, of Greenwood, Indiana; mother-in-law, Janet Chesnik, of Lexington, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Linda Chesnik, of Lexington, Kentucky; and brother-in-law, David Chesnik, of Gilbert, Arizona.
