Josefina Pozek, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana, at the age of 87. Born on May 9, 1938, in Manila, Philippines, Josefina lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and boundless love.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Frank H. Feigel, her husband of 29 years Janko Pozek, her loving parents, and six of her siblings. She is survived by her four children — Donna, Patricia, Lisa, and Michael — along with her ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way, her remaining siblings, and many beloved family members.
Josefina was a proud member of the Barangay Club and enjoyed many joyful years as part of a local bowling league. She had a deep love for traveling and never missed an opportunity to gather with family — the true center of her world.
Her laugh was infectious, her kindness immeasurable. She had a gift for making everyone feel special and could light up any room simply by walking into it. Josefina’s legacy is one of compassion, joy, and unwavering love for those around her.
As we say goodbye, we hold her memory close, comforted by these words:
“But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand.”
Josefina’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
