José Gamez

José Gamez, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana, has passed away September 2nd, 2025. Born June 8th, 1948, he was the son of Pedro Gamez and Maria Socorro-Garcia.

José was a hardworking man with a successful career in excavation, a job he refused to retire from.

José is preceded in death by his parents, his son Alberto Luis Gamez, his daughter Maria Gamez, and his sister Alicia Gamez.

José will forever be remembered by his children: José J. Gamez, Monica Gamez, and Eduardo Gamez; his wife Herlinda Gamez; his grandchildren Lucas Mills, Maria Mills, Harrison Mills, and Ethan Mills; and his siblings Geronimo Gamez, Maria J. Gamez, Anselmo Gamez, Pedro Gamez, Fernando Gamez, and Aurelia Gamez.

José will be laid to rest Friday, September 9th at Calvary Cemetery (435 W Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225) at 10:30am.
