Jordyn Jo’Lee was a bright, bold, unforgettable ray of sunshine whose presence filled every room she entered. She left this world too soon on November 5th, 2025. She was born on March 8th, 2013, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jordyn attended Maplewood, Brook Park, and Brookview Elementary Schools, and later Stonybrook Middle School, where she made a lasting impact on friends, teachers, and everyone blessed to cross her path.
Creative by nature, Jordyn loved music—both listening to it and producing it. She played the clarinet and violin with pride and grace. She loved dancing and choreography, often creating her own routines to share with others. Jordyn had a deep affinity for makeup, hair, and fashion, always expressing herself in her own unique way.
Jordyn was an athlete through and through, with competitive experience in many sports. She played soccer, basketball, and softball, and she enjoyed swimming with the same fearless intensity she brought to everything else in her life. She was tenacious, outspoken, confident, intuitive, and beautifully sassy—a leader by nature, with an energy that was simply undeniable.
She had a heart that stretched far beyond herself. Jordyn loved her family fiercely, her friends wholeheartedly, and she had a special way of advocating for others, always lending a hand or resources. She loved animals, nature, and exploring the world around her—always ready for the next adventure.
Jordyn is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Maceo Payne; her grandmother, Theresa Payne; her cousin, Heather Raines; and her Nana, Karen Payne who welcomed her home.
