Johnny Mize

Johnny Mize, 86, of Indianapolis, died on Nov. 9, 2013. Johnny was born on May 1, 1927 in Freelandville, IN to George Washington and Lula Mae (Trylon) Mize. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Clermont, IN. Johnny was a machinist at Allison's (a Division of GM) for 42 ½ yrs. where he worked at plants 3 & 5, retiring in 1992. He was preceded in death by sons, Dale and Rodney Mize. Calling will be held on Nov. 14th at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Nov. 15th at 11am, also at the funeral home. Johnny is survived by his wife, Doris Mae (Chambers) Mize; daughter, Stella (Perry) Baugh; sons, David (Judy), Ronald, Jeffery (Kristy) Mize; 12 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; brother, Richard. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
