John Yergler

John Yergler, 65, Fishers, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012. John was born in Bluffton, IN on January 24, 1947 to parents, Robert E. and Carolyn J. (Baumgartner) Yergler. He was a graduate of Stranahan High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University and his graduate degree from Purdue University. During his career, John worked in various capacities for Eli Lilly including Team Leader, Auditor in Toxicology and as a FDA Compliance Trainer. John loved baseball and was a huge Cubs Fan. He also loved music, traveling and was very artistic. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and The Society of Quality Assurance, where he was a past president of the Board of Directors. John was preceded in death by his father, Robert and is survived by his wife, Margaret Yergler; mother, Carolyn Yergler; sister, Marlise Steffen (husband, Tim); two nephews, Jayde (Abby) Steffen and Jordan Steffen; and one niece, Adrianne (Braden) Reinhard. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4-8pm @ Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 E. Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 6050 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, where additional calling will be held from 1pm until the time of the service. Entombment will follow services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Music Program or the American Cancer Society.
