John Willis Shearin Jr.

John Willis Shearin, Jr. passed away in Hammond, LA on April 2, 2022. He was born to Kathryn and John Willis Shearin, Sr. on April 19, 1950. He attended the University of South Mississippi, majoring in Education. He received his Master of Library Science from Indiana University. After graduation, John taught in Mississippi before moving to Indiana, where we worked for 20 years for the Department of Education. He would move on to teach at Carmel High School for over 20 years, where he would later he would later retire.

John leaves to cherish his memory his son, Evan, and sisters, Anita, Brenda, and Jenny.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 9am-11am at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd W Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46228, with a funeral service immediately to follow.
