John W. Arthur

John W. Arthur, 88, Indianapolis, passed away December 10, 2011. He was born on June 6, 1923 in Spencer, IN, the son of David and Loucettia (Bland) Arthur. John reitred from Naval Avionics in 1984. He was a member of Shadeland Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Faye O. Arthur, on April 25, 2011, and his siblings, Guy, Ivan, Lloyd, Hazel, Earl "Wick", Anna, and Pearl. He is survived by his daughters, Lana Tabaracci and Beverly Wisner; his grandchildren, Terri Richter, Kelly Graesch, Brooke Ptak, and Hannah Weatherford; his great-grandchildren, Shelby Richter, Shannon Ayers, Katrina Ward, Anika Graesch, Cecelia Weatherford, Georgia Weatherford, Vera Weatherford, Jeremy Richter, and Caleb Ptak; his great-great grandchildren, Alli and Katie Ayers; and his sister, Ruth Richardson. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:30 AM at Shadeland Baptist Church, 7427 E. 34th Street, with calling from 9 AM until service time at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 PM on Wednesday at Newark Cemetery in Greene, County, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
