John V. Kirby

John V. Kirby, 65, of Leesburg, FL (formerly of Indianapolis) passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2014. John was a 1967 graduate of Howe High School. He attended Indiana State University graduating in 1971 with a degree in Instructional Technology. He taught for three years in the Indianapolis School System, then moved into construction. He retired as a co-owner of American Precast Concrete. Upon retirement in 2002, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed building furniture, RV travel, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife P. Lená Kirby; children Chris (Carrie) Kirby and Traci (Bill) Feltman; and grandchildren Nicholas, Patrick, Jacob, Allie, Jade, Emma, Ian, Elaina, Lindsey, Caleb, and Andrew. John was preceded in death by his parents William "Bud" and Jeannine Godfrey Kirby, as well as his son Jeremy S. Kirby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
