John Smock

John Abraham Smock, 81, of Zionsville, IN died May 4, 2012. He was born September 25, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Harry and Margaret Wohlheiter Smock. After graduation from Washington High School in Indianapolis, John honorably served his country in the U. S. Army. While stationed in Germany, he met Lieselotte "Lilo" Weiler, and was immediately smitten; they married on April 22, 1954. John was well known from his many years as a successful salesman at Tom Harris Chevrolet, Pearson Ford, and Bill Estes Chevrolet. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time at American Legion Post 79. He was affectionately known as "Mousey" by his family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Lilo Smock; his children, Lisa Morgan and her husband, Ron, and Lynda Smock; and his brother, James Smock. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry and sisters, Charlotte Schmidt and Mary Smock. He will be greatly missed by their dog, Heidi and his grand-dogs Brooklyn Smock and Maggie, Zoe, and Holly Morgan, who brought John a lot of happiness. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 1 to 5 pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. Funeral services will be there at 11 am Monday, May 7, 2012.
