John Rogers Short
71, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016. He graduated from North Central High School and attended Rice University. He worked for General Motors Allison Transmission for 44 years, retiring in 2009. He was a devoted son and loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle. His survivors include his sister, Lexie Ellis and her family, husband Bill, son Bill, Jr. (wife Eva and son James) and son Tom (wife Tara), two aunts and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Almon Short of Indianapolis.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Flanner & Buchanan-Washington Park North, with calling beginning at 10:00 am.
