John Thomas Perazzo

John Thomas Perazzo, 71, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on June 26, 2024. He was born on February 11, 1953, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to parents, Albert Perazzo and Dolores (McVicar) Perazzo.

A 1972 graduate of Butler University with a bachelor's degree in political science and member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. John's professional journey began and remained in the restaurant industry for 50 years. He managed several 4-star rated restaurants (Wall Street, Butterfields, and Salvatore’s) and through his passion for cooking and creating recipes became the proud owner of two successful restaurants, J.Razzo’s in Carmel, Indiana and J.Razzo’s 2 in Westfield, Indiana leaving a lasting impact on the local dining scene.

Beyond his illustrious career, John was known for his love of the beach and cherished moments vacationing at the shore in Wildwood, NJ with family and friends. He also found joy tending to his flower gardens and meticulously caring for his lawn, showcasing his admiration for nature and beauty. He also had an appreciation of music and enjoyed going to concerts.

Above all, John was an amazing husband for 43 years, an adoring and devoted father, and caring employer. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

John is survived by his loving wife, Teresa (Terrie) Perazzo; daughter, Lindsay Perazzo; and brother, Albert (Maryalice) Perazzo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Susan (Jan) Rosenberg.

Visitation for John will be from 4-7pm on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) – 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. A funeral service will take place the following day, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12pm. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
