John David Middleton, 53, died peacefully at home on October 1, comforted by the love of his life, his wife Suzanne. John was born in East Chicago to Grayce and Vance Middleton, who predeceased him. He grew up in Highland and Lowell where he made many friends, so many of whom visited him in recent weeks. After graduating from Lowell High School, he attended Purdue Calumet and then moved to Chicago to take a job at the Chicago Board of Trade where he worked for more than 20 years. In 2001, he moved to Indianapolis and most recently worked for Deflecto and Village Pantry. He increased his circle of friends through work and church. His most enduring friendships came through his longtime attachment to Dungeons and Dragons and his buddies took him to GenCon in August. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Marie, his stepson, Rob Lyons of Bement, IL, his sisters Myra Borshoff Cook (Frank) of Martinsville, Jane Innes Armstrong (Jay) of Chicago, Elizabeth Pavuk (Mark) of Lake Station, and one brother, James A. Middleton (Barbara Nellis) of Chicago and his beloved nieces and nephews: Tom and Amanda Borshoff, Ian, Jake, Zach and Abby Armstrong, Julia Middleton and Rebecca Nellis; Matthew Sawyer, Markie, Michael, Angela, Max and Alexis Pavuk, and his uncle, George I. Middleton of Etowah, NC. Also surviving him are Tim Lyons and Dan Lyons (Nancy), both of Brownsburg. Mike Lyons (Penny) of Arab, AL, David Lyons (Leesa) of Clearwater, FL, and his beloved nieces and nephews Trey, Audrey, Emily, Andy, Chris, Jennifer, Amanda, Christopher, James, Jordan and Sarah.
