John Michael Mills

John Michael Mills, 45, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on January 21, 2026, from heart failure. Known to many simply as “John Michael,” he will be remembered for his quiet demeanor, his generous spirit, and the deep care he showed to those closest to him. Born on June 25, 1980, in Indianapolis, John was the beloved son of John and Linda Mills. From an early age, he displayed a thoughtful nature and a curiosity about the world that guided him throughout his life. After graduating from college, John went on to build a successful career in information technology, an accomplishment that gave him both pride and purpose. Among his proudest milestones were earning his degree, achieving success in his professional life, and purchasing his own home—an achievement that symbolized his independence and dedication.

Though John was a private person, those who knew him best understood the warmth and loyalty that ran deep within him. He valued his friendships, maintained close bonds with his family, and was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. His big heart and quiet presence made him a source of comfort and reliability to the people in his life.

Outside of work, John enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the shooting range, playing video games, watching classic movies from the 1980s and 1990s, and relaxing over a deck of cards with friends.

John Michael Mills is survived by his mother, Linda Mills, who cherishes his memory deeply and his is brother, Jason Mills and niece, Emma Mills.  While private arrangements are being made, his family and friends hold fast to the joy, kindness, and gentle humor he brought into their lives. His presence will be deeply missed and always remembered with love.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 2pm-4pm at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park - Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Rd. Noblesville, IN 46060).
