John Kenneth Mason
72, passed away August 23, 2011. He was born in Shoshone, Idaho, October 30, 1938, to the late Earl and Helen (Vaught) Mason.
John graduated from Butler University with a business degree and later received an associate degree in Electronics Engineering from ITT. His employers included Graham Electronics and Hurco Manufacturing Company.
John is survived by two brothers, James E. and Jere D. Mason; his wife of 50 years, Linda Campbell Mason; daughter, Catharine A. Mason; son, Brian A. Mason; grandchildren, Sophie M. Mason, Zachary J. Mason, Elizabeth C. Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
John served in the Army at Fort Collins, in Chicago. He played the clarinet in the Army band.
John enjoyed traveling, photography, and computers. He belonged to the Riviera Camera Club and received several awards for his work.
He was a member of First Congregational Church and in prior years served on the Diaconate, Board of Trustees and Christian Education.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at First Congregational Church, 7171 North Pennsylvania Street. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church.
