John L. Durham

John L. Durham, 82, Indianapolis, passed awayJune 19, 2016. John was the son of the late Roy and Emma (Garber)Durham. He was a US Army Veteran and a Sergeant with the IndianapolisPolice Department, retiring in 1981. He also retired from St. VincentHospital where he worked in Security. He was a member of the F.O.P.,Retired Officers, Englewood Masonic Lodge #715 and Old Bethel UMC. Johnwas preceded in death by siblings, Roy Durham and Louise Hess.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 52years, Janice (Greene) Durham; children, John II (Ofelia), Jay, and JenniferJarrell (Joe); grandchildren Jonathan, Olivia and Lukas Durham and EmilyJarrell; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, good friends and hisdog, Rocky.

Funeral will be held at 2PM Tuesday, June 28 atFlanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM, Monday, June 27, and from 12PM until theservice on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in MemorialPark Cemetery with Military honors.
