John “JJ” C. Beechler, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away February 8th, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis on December 31st, 1944 to parents Vernet and June (Merriman) Beechler.
JJ graduated from Warren Central High School.
After 36 years, JJ retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a proud member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, and the Moose Lodge.
JJ was a high-spirited, social man. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the Indy 500, and cheering for his favorite teams, IU and The Colts. JJ loved the water and enjoyed spending time at The Flats at Dale Hollow in Tennessee. He was a devoted friend to many, many people, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
JJ is survived by his children Kimberly (Mike) Young and Kyle (Tracie) Beechler; three grandchildren Whitney (Joe) Diefenderfer, Andrew Young, and Danielle Young; one great grandchild Ruby Jo Diefenderfer; and his dear friends Fred Rauh and Pat Martin.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for JJ will be at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, Saturday February 13th, from 3pm-7pm. Due to Covid restrictions, JJ’s service will be private, but can be livestreamed using this link.
