John Jack' E. Knapp, Sr

John “Jack” E. Knapp, Sr.

93 years old, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. He was born to the late Wellington Knapp and Leoti Knapp. Jack was an avid sports fan, which he loved watching while spending time with his family. He was employed as a Skilled Machinist with Naval Avionics for 30 years, and was the President of the Shuffling Club in Florida, where he wintered with his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia “Ginny” Knapp. Jack served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was known for his fun and loving spirit to all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his children, Linda Clancy (Bob), John Knapp, Jr. (Bonnie), Danny Knapp, and Barbara Brown; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Knowles (Al). He was preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia “Ginny” Knapp; parents, Wellington and Leoti Knapp.
