John "Jack" Belschwender II, passed away in his hometown of Indianapolis, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and kindness.
Born in Indianapolis on August 13, 1952, Jack graduated from North Central High School and went on to earn a degree in Food and Lodging Management from IUPUI. His career was not only a job, but a passion that brought joy to all who knew him. His commitment to the restaurant business was unwavering, and his expertise was admired by many.
He was a dedicated Restaurant Manager at Jim Dandy's in Greenfield, IN for many years and was in the restaurant business for over 45 years.
Jack's warm and welcoming personality touched the lives of countless individuals. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. His proudest accomplishments included being a Mason and an Eagle Scout, values that he carried with him throughout his life. He was a lifetime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Outside of work, Jack found joy in simple pleasures. He loved spending time with his family, outdoors, fishing, camping, and kayaking. He enjoyed perfecting his skills in the kitchen to serve his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Belschwender and their daughters, Melissa Fesler (Woody), Lisa Moore (April Humphrey), and Ashley Deal (Nick); grandchildren, Colton Blozinski, Kristina Moore, Woody Fesler, Kyleigh Deal, Bentley Deal, and Kenzie Deal; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy Riggle (Steve); nephews, Jeremy and Jonathan (Trish); great nephew, Charlie; several other nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, John ‘Jack’ Belschwender and Betty Jean Belschwender, as well as his niece, Michelle Riggle.
Services to honor Jack will take place at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr. in Indianapolis. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2024.
