John F. Harris

John F. Harris of Indianapolis, IN died May 7, 2015 at the age of 68. He graduated from Howe High School in 1964. After high school he worked for 15 years for Weimer Typesetting Co and retired after 18 years as a building engineer for Cassidy Turley. John loved his children and grandchildren very much and was always there to help his family. He also loved his dogs Rocky, Lady, Teddy Bear, and Precious. John is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Betty S. Harris; children David Lee Harris (Lynette), Robert Lee Harris, Christopher Lee Harris (Allison), Richard Lee Harris (Kendra), Johnny Lee Harris, and Cindy Lee Harris; grandchildren Kylie, Jacob, Shelby, Ella, and Kennedy Harris; and sister Judith Alexander. He was preceded in death by his mother Edith Repass and brother Rusty Harris. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13 at 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St with visitation 12 noon until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Due to allergies the family requests that only plants be sent in lieu of flowers.
