John Darcy

John J. Darcy, Sr., 87, of Carmel, passed away August 3, 2013. He was born January 12, 1926. John married Harriet Quigley on November 24, 1948; they were married for 63 years. She and their son John, Jr., preceded him in death. Survivors include daughters, Margaret (Mike) Coburn, Fran (John) Holmes, Debora Miller, Joan (Dennis Lods) DeVeau and Donnamarie (Rolf) Loescher; sons, Neil Darcy and Blaise Darcy; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Saultzbaugh. John was Director of Purchasing for Ford Motor Co. in Connersville, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He served on the board of Fayette Memorial Hospital and the Connersville Sertoma. John was an avid golfer. A private service will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton.
