John H. Chunn, Jr.

John H. Chunn, Jr., 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 10, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 22, 1941, to his parents, John Sr. and Eva Chunn. John graduated from Howe High School. John dutifully served in the United States Army. Following the military, he was a devoted employee for Ford Motor Company for 31 years. John was also an avid Detroit Lions fan. He was united in marriage to his wife, JoAnn (Kidd) Chunn, on November 6, 1964. Together they spent 61 years devoted to one another and created beautiful memories along the way. He was a wonderful husband and person and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded by his parents, John H. Chunn, Sr. and Eva Chunn; and his 2 brothers, Danny Wallace and Roy Chunn.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Chunn; his grandchildren, Heather Williams and Courtney Chunn; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Williams.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 12PM-2PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral service will begin at 2PM. John will be laid to rest following services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
