Joel C. Morris

Joel C. Morris 82, of Fishers, IN. passed away November 17, 2012. Joel was born June 16, 1930 to the late Luther and Janie Morris in Anna, Illinois. He retired from the US Army in 1969, with 22 years of service. He served his Country with dignity and pride, in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Germany and Vietnam. Joel was a member of East 91st Christian Church. He enjoyed golfing and building things, but most of all, he enjoyed his family. Joel will be remembered for his huge heart and his great sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Clemons Morris; son Larry (Faye) Morris of Kissimmee, FL.; daughters, Barbara Morris and Teresa (Keith) Hendricks of Fishers, IN; six grandchildren, Shane Morris, Angela Morris, Laura (Adam) Linville, Joel Denney, Jerod Thomasson and Hannah Hendricks and numerous nieces and nephews . He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alan and Dan Morris Friends may call from 10:00 am-1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Interment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
