Joe Gritton, 64, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away on March 22, 2021. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana to James and Sharon Gritton on May 23, 1956.

He and his wife, Cindy, married on October 25, 1980. They had three children: Jacob, Joshua, and Chelsea. He was a graduate of Eastern High School and IUPUI. He went on to become a Project Manager at AT&T for nearly 40 years, Stanley Black & Decker, and Interactive Digital Solutions (IDS).

He was an active member of East 91st Street Christian Church where he coordinated group mission trips for 18 years. He was a board member for Thy Will Ministries and Bethany Christian Services. He loved writing, history, genealogy, and being a Papaw.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, James Gritton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy; children, Jacob (Lindsay) Gritton, Joshua (Annie) Gritton, and Chelsea (Jay) Mitchener; mother, Sharon; brothers, Jeffrey and Jay; and grandchildren, Carson, Savannah, and Ford.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3, at 10:30 am. The funeral service will begin at noon. All will be held at Jerome Christian Church, 9535 County Rd E 100 S, Greentown, IN 46936. To view the livestream of the service, please click here.
