JoDean Johnson, age 90 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026.
JoDean was born on August 19, 1935 in Beech Creek, Kentucky, a daughter of Estel and Era (Jones) Sorrels.
She was one of 5 children, the only girl having four brothers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Billy Sorrels, David Sorrels, Paul Sorrels and one son: Robert "Bobby" Johnson.
She is survived by one brother: Mansfield Sorrels of Texas.
She is also survived by her daughter: Rita Everts of Indianapolis.
One granddaughter: Danielle (husband Patrick) Krzysztofinski of Lebanon, Tennessee.
Three great grandchildren: Harper, Ellie, and Liam.
JoDean was a homemaker. She greatly enjoyed her flower gardening and baking.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Floral Park Funeral Center, located 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Chaplain Tom Bartley will officiate.
Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
