Joann F Mcnelly

The McNelly family lost their matriarch, Joann Flora McNelly (89), on January 2, 2022. As a long-time resident of Speedway, Indiana, Joann graduated from Washington High School in 1950.

She was a life-long active member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ volunteering on multiple committees and coordinating many events.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. McNelly; her daughter, Pamela Matheney; her father Roy G. Barnes; and her mother Esther M. Barnes. She is survived by her daughter, Carla (John) Parent; her son, Rodney (Karen) McNelly; her daughter Sandra (Doug) Lindamood, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and was proudly expecting a great-great-grandchild in June. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 7 from 4 – 8 PM at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway 2950 N High School Rd, Speedway, IN 46224.
