JoAnn G. McGrath
91 of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. JoAnn was born May 28, 1922 in Coshocton, OH to the late John C. and Clara V. "Doll" Lyons. Early in her career, JoAnn worked as a civil servant for the U. S. Military in Oakland CA. After WWII was over she work for RCA in NYC. Later she left the workforce to raise her family.
On Thursday, September 26 family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 am until 1 pm for visitation at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm.
JoAnn was the widow of Frank McGrath. She is survived by her children, Mary K. Pitts and Timothy (wife, Marianne) McGrath; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Lyons. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Garnett Walsh, Janice Meyette and Margaret Jane Phillips.
