Joan S. Hause, 76 of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her home with her daughter at her side. Joan was born August 24, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Loren and Harriet Preston.
Joan and her husband, Dan, owned D and J’s Western Ware in Carmel for several years. Prior, she worked for The Great Western.
Joan was an active member of the Carmel American Legion, having served as president of the women’s auxiliary and chaplain for several years.
A service celebrating Joan’s life will be held at a later date at the Carmel American Legion.
She was the widow of Dan Hause. Joan is survived by her daughter, Nargi Wilson; grandchildren, Edward (wife, Kayce) Wilson and Ila Wilson; brother, Russ Eavey.
