Joan Blum, 93, of Carmel, Indiana passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

Joan was born in Utica, NY and later moved to Albany, NY where she worked in Medical Records at Albany Medical Center Hospital. She later worked as a Physician’s Assistant to Dr. Joseph Fusco, in Hudson, NY.

Joan loved hosting parties, playing tennis, bowling, drawing and needlepointing. She was also an avid Pinochle player. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed life, family, and friends to the fullest. Her kindness, generosity and sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her sister, Dorothy Newton; daughters, Yvonne (Lane) Dundee, Ellen (Thomas) Hill, and stepdaughter, Lori (Kenneth) Smith. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua, Michael (Ann), Daniel, and a step granddaughter Lauren (Jaedon). Joan also had several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren who survived her.

Joan is predeceased in death by her husband, Kenneth Blum and daughter, Susanne Charron Fomorin. To know Joan was a gift and her memories will live on in all the hearts she touched.
