Jimmy Allen Greenlee

Jimmy (“Jim”) Allen Greenlee, 83, Fishers, IN, passed away March 3, 2024, at Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living with his beloved wife by his side. He was born in Strawberry Plains, TN to Willie Carr Greenlee and Georgia M. (Wright) Greenlee. Jim graduated from Windfall High School. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Sue (Mobley) Ruggles. He retired from General Motors (Delco Remy) in Anderson, IN after 35 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. Jim was also an active member of the Fairmount Lions Club before retiring to Arkansas in 2006. He was fully devoted to caring for his wife of 51 years.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sue (Mobley) Greenlee, brother, George (Jo) Greenlee, children: Troy (Judy) Ruggles, Carolyn Greenlee Wesley (deceased), Wally (Lora) Greenlee, Teena Ruggles, and Jennifer (Terry) Finchum; 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were very special to him. 

Jim was preceded in death by both parents, his sister, Lois Ann Whisler, and daughter Carolyn Wesley.

A small, private celebration of life will be held at Allisonville Meadows.
