Jim Roe Basler

Jim Roe Basler, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. Jim was born in Petros, Tennessee the son of Martin and Nora (Hatfield) Basler. He was a US Navy Veteran and was retired from Richardson Rubber Company where he was a supervisor for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Thelma Davis and brother, John Basler Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye (Lucas) Basler; son, Jimmy Basler and his wife Stayce, daughters, Anita Hicks and her husband Rick and Shelly Wampler and her husband Troy; grandchildren, Jay, Katie, Laura, Angie, Katie, and Keith; great-grandchild, Jayden; sisters Jo Roberts, Betty Lemons, Janice Lyles and Loraine Brown; and his brother, Paul Basler. Viewing will be held from 11:00 – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites.
