Jewell C Withers

Jewell Hillyard Baugh Withers 96, died August 30, 2013, in Franklin, Indiana. She was born May 12, 1917 in Crittenden, Kentucky to Mabel Clara Drennan Hillyard and Victor Elmer Hillyard. A long-time Indianapolis resident, Ms. Withers, a former hairdresser, retired from Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Joseph F. Baugh in 1974 and second husband of 25 years, E. C. Withers in 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Baugh Anderson (spouse David), Trudy Baugh Ortwerth (spouse Ronald) and Connie Sue Baugh; her grandchildren Smith (Sonny) Dewlen, Michelle Dewlen Moran (spouse Kevin), and Joseph R. Taylor (spouse Jennifer); and the lights of her life, her great grandchildren: Kevin Moran, Fionn Moran, James Taylor and Jewel Taylor. Jewell was raised in the church had a strong faith in the Lord. Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10:00 am – 11: 00 AM. Service at 11:00 a.m.Flanner & Buchanan – Decatur, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46221, Interment to follow at Lincoln Memory Garden, Whitestown, Indiana. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to Shepherds Ministries, 1805 15th Avenue, Union Grove, Wisconsin 53182.
