Jessie L. Riggs

Jessie L. Riggs, 60, of Indianapolis, IN passed away December 15, 2019. Jessie was born in Indianapolis on Christmas Day 1958, to the late Bud Carmichael and Maggie Baskerville Morris.

Jessie married the love of her life, Clint Edward Riggs, on September 15, 2000. Together they bought their first home in 2003 and created many memories in their southside home with their five adoring children.

She worked for Walmart for over 17 years and was dedicated to her work in department management.

Jessie was known for her sassy personality and love of the color purple. She was an avid gardener and took pride in her springtime blooms in the garden. She was also an excellent cook, known for her Kung Pao Chicken by the grandchildren.

Jessie is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Clint E. Riggs; loving children, Steven D. Ladd, Jonny E. Irish, Angie M. Burdine, Nick S. Riggs, and Austin M. Riggs; 10 grandchildren, Coryndie, Brittany, Corissa, Brandi, Brandon, Cierra, Madisen, Dallas, Lydia, and Ethan; 4 great-grandbabies; and siblings, Joyce, Jean, Rick, and David.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, 46229 on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 4 to 8PM with visitation continued the following day, Friday, December 20, 2019 from 11AM to 12PM. A funeral service is to immediately follow visitation Friday at 12PM noon.
