Jessie J. Blankenship, Jr.
72 of Rockville, Indiana, a former Indianapolis resident, passed away April 15, 2013. He was born on April 2, 1941 the son of Jessie J., Sr. and Edith (Lockard) Blankenship. Jessie served in the U S Navy and retired as a service lineman with Indianapolis Power & Light after 33 years of service. Survivors: wife, Virginia M. (Atha) Blankenship; children, Louwanna Jackson, Teresa Blankenship, James Blankenship and Kelly Townsend; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 5 brothers and 10 sisters. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park 425 N. Holt Road. Visitation will precede the service from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan.
