Jesse Clemons

Greenfield, Indiana – Jesse Clemons, 89, passed away peacefully after being comforted by his family on January 23, 2026. A devoted father, husband, and Christian, Jesse’s absence will be felt by all who knew him.

Jesse was born in Wilstacy, Kentucky, on October 12, 1936, to parents Jacob & Eva (Russell) Clemons. Seeking better opportunities, Jesse moved to Indiana where he took a job at Hy Grades food processing, eventually making his way to Ford Motor Company, where he worked for over 30 years. Jesse’s outgoing nature and humor let him make easy friends, no matter where he moved.

During this time, he met the love of his life, Judy Kelly. They met in 1971 and were married on December 23, 1972, celebrating 53 years of marriage together before Jesse’s passing.

When not working, Jesse was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and camp. A quiet day with his many dogs in the woods was where Jesse felt most at peace. He also found joy in watching sports; particularly basketball and racing, otherwise he’d have the television set to a western channel.

In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Driver, and 9 siblings.

He is survived by his beloved Wife, Judith Clemons; sister Rosie Morris; children Sandra Clemons of Kirkland Washington, Gwynne Clavijo of Bossier City, Louisiana, Leanne Lopez (Mario) of Keithville Louisiana; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a special niece, Darlene Garin, as well as many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to also thank some very special family friends; Fortina, Rosario, Abby, Gary, and Genesis Luna-Guarneros.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229) on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 12 – 2 pm with funeral services following at 2 pm. Entombment will take place at Washington Park Cemetery following services.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial donations to be made in Jesse's name to Samaritan's Purse or Warren Baptist Church.
