Jerry Hoagland

Jerry E. Hoagland, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025.

Born on August 31, 1936, in Indianapolis, Jerry was the son of Florence (Wright) and Howard Hoagland. He spent his life in the city he called home, building a life grounded in love, family, and quiet strength.

While working at BlueCross BlueShield in Indianapolis, Jerry met the love of his life, Linda S. (Boffo) Hoagland. They shared 55 devoted years of marriage before Linda’s passing in June 2024.

Jerry is survived by his children: Sheri Young, Douglas Hoagland (Stephen), Jennifer Stafford (James), and Bradford Hoagland (Leslie); as well as his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents; his sister, Betty L. Brooking; and his brother, Charles Hoagland.

Jerry’s quiet resilience, loyalty to his family, and enduring love will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
