Jerry E. Carney

Jerry Earl Carney, Sr. 72, of Indianapolis, passed away in his sleep, Saturday September 1, 2012. He was born October 6, 1939 to Earl and Dorothy Carney in Beech Grove, IN. Jerry was a machinist for Diamond Chain for 38 yrs. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #17. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed watching car races, fishing, working on cars and playing with his dogs, Sparky and Snoopy. He will be remembered most for his warm smile and kind heart. He leaves to forever cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Anderson Carney; daughter, Mary D. Carney; two brothers, Jack Dean (Evelyne) Carney, Thomas E (Alice) Carney; two grandchildren, Ashley and Casey Carney. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jerry E. Carney, Jr.; brother, Robert Lee Carney and sister, Janet Carney. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan. Interment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
