Jerry Charles White, Jr., 56, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was born on March 31, 1960 in Indianapolis, to Jerry Charles White, Sr. and Phyllis E. (Rassmuson) White. Jerry worked as a painter for Monroe Custom Bodies for over 35 years. He was an avid fan of stock car racing, and was a member of Jack Dossey’s pit crew for 30+ years. Jerry was a diehard Chevy fan and attended the 4 Wheel Drive Jamboree every year at the State Fairgrounds. He was very active in his son’s sporting events, and when he wasn’t coaching, he could be found in the stands cheering them on to victory. Jerry was mostly known as being a selfless, reliable man who always put the needs of others before his own. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mary (Cox) White; sons, Kyle, Shelby and Jeremy White; siblings, Debbie Stanton, Richard (Lyn) White, Tammy Daggett, Jerri Sue (Tray) Radcliff, Jason (Jenn) White; step-mother, Sharon White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his infant daughters, Kellie and Karla White; sister, Phyllis Jean Robbins; and father, Jerry Charles White, Sr. Jerry was a wonderful man who will be missed by all of his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 4-9pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2pm, also at the funeral home, with additional visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
