Jerome Craig Casavan

Jerome “Jerry” Casavan, 75, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on March 8, 2026. He was born on February 24, 1951, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, to the late Bernard and Carolyn Casavan.

Growing up in northern Minnesota–where people hunt, fish, and wear shorts in the winter–Jerry developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing hockey.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. During his career, he served primarily as a radio operator aboard the Boeing EC-135 airborne command and control aircraft. He served his country during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.

After retiring from the Air Force, Jerry earned his Bachelor of General Studies degree from Indiana University - Kokomo.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; children, Jami (Kara) Casavan (granddaughter, Kaitlin), Kimberlee Casavan, and Joshua (Juliana) Casavan (granddaughters, Leonora and Bernadette); sisters, brothers, and friends. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and his beloved grandson, Cooper.

Interment with military honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 12 noon to 2pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 2pm, at Flanner Buchanan - Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Rd., Westfield, IN 46062.
