Jerald "Jerry" L. Hannah 68, of Danville, IN passed away August 27, 2011. Born April 17, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to Roy Hannah, Jr. and Edna I. Rector Hannah. He graduated from Royerton High School in 1961 and attended Ball State University. Jerry worked in the Insurance Business for more the 40 years, before retiring in 2003. He represented Lafayette Life Insurance in Muncie, Reserve Life as Regional Manager for IN, IL, OH and Michigan. He joined Ben Hur Life of Crawfordsville, Indiana as State Marketing Director before becoming Director of Agencies during his 13 years of employment. He joined Police and Firemen Association in 1988 as Vice President of Marketing and then National Catholic Society of Forester as Marketing Vice President in 1995. Jerry worked with The Buchanan Group in Indianapolis as a Family Service Advisor before retiring due to medical issues. Jerry was selected in 1987 for Who's Who in Sales and Marketing Award. Served as President, Board Memeber and Member of the National Fraternal Field Managers Association of America, Board Member and Member of the Indiana Fraternal Congress of Indiana. Served as Board Member and Member of Indiana Fraternal Insurance Counselors Association, Board Member and Member of the Indiana State Association of Life Underwriters in Muncie, Terre Haute and Crawfordsville. Jerry is survived by wife Donna Hannah, sister Pat Richwine, Bradenton, FL, sons Jerry Hannah of Muncie, Todd (Sam) Hannah of Indianapolis, Chad (Melissa) Hannah of Fishers and Ryan (Emily) Hannah of Plainfield three grandchildren, Will, Ellie and Ella and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dane of Yorktown, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway. Private burial services will be held at Saint Malachy Cemetery in Brownsburg, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society of Indiana or American Cancer Society.
