Camby, Indiana

Jennifer Lynn Wright of Camby, Indiana and Battle Creek, Michigan passed into the loving hands of the Lord on April 8, 2024 at her home in Indiana.

Jennifer was born July 7, 1970 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Judith and William Wright.  She resided in the Battle Creek area, attended Lakeview High School where she was a member of the Lakeview Marching Band and participated in the high school musicals each year, graduating in 1988.  She attended Kellogg Community College, and then transferred to Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.

Jennifer began her work career the day after high school graduation by working summers at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.   After college graduation, she was employed at State Farm Insurance Agency in Marshall, Michigan.  When that office closed, she chose to transfer to the West Lafayette, Indiana office and worked there until 2020 when she started working from home.  This gave her the opportunity to move to Camby, Indiana where she bought the home of her dreams.

Jennifer had many interests.   She loved making hand made cards for friends, family and craft fairs.  She loved participating as a crew member to many hot air balloon pilots and enjoyed the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She loved helping people and especially enjoyed helping her cousin transplant thousands of  plants at her cousin’s greenhouse.  She loved traveling and was blessed to visit New York City to see the 4th of July fireworks after September 9, cruise to Alaska, visit San Francisco, Washington state and Alabama.

Most of all Jennifer loved helping people.  She was an active member of the Dexter Lake Church of God in Battle Creek where she served in music ministries and developed and taught basic computer classes.   In 2020, she became a member of the River of Life Church of God, where she worked in music ministry and participated in many activities.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Judith Wright. She comes from a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins who survive:    Burget and Mary Jane High, Al (Jim) and Sarah High, Beverly High, Cindy and John Koerner, Blaine and Paula High, John and Connie High, Carol McAllaster, Sue and John Hammond, Gordon and Kim McAllaster, Sharon and Chris Robb, Janet High, Bryan and Lynette High, Pat and Steve Stutesman, Tracey Phillips, Becky Peariso, Rob and Carmen High, Michelle Nelson, Justin High, Susie Sullivan, Frank Sullivan and special friends:  Mike Miller, Billlie Smith, Mary Maison, Gary Steiner and Jerry Tilmann.
