Jennie C. Mcmillan

Jennie C. (Porter) McMillan, 89, of Jacksonville, FL and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away February 4, 2016. Jennie was born in Portland, TN the daughter of Paschal B. and Ethel (Mathais) Porter. She was a clerk/typist with HUD retiring in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Melvin Maxwell McMillan in 2008.

Jennie is survived by her daughters, Judy McKay and her husband Dave, Linda McMillan and MaryKay Schaffer and her husband Ed. 5 grandchildren, Christy McKay Vickery, Heather McKay, Maggie Schaffer Hayes, Jennifer Schaffer and Jeb Schaffer. 2 great grandchildren, Kendal Vickery and Wyatt Hayes; sisters, Elva Garrison, Irene Soliday and Libby Haynes and her brother, James Porter.

The family is being served by Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, where a Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2016. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
