Ms. Jennetta Bernice Harris was born December 22, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Arlene Mays Harris and James R Harris, where she attended Indianapolis Public Schools, including Crispus Attucks High School.
Jennetta was employed at Wishard Memorial Hospital in the Nursing Industry for more than 40 years where she retired in 2006. She enjoyed her profession of taking care of others and was very dedicated. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Joseph Spiritual Church of Indianapolis. She rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized in February, 2008 at New Life Worship Center.
Ms. Jennetta Harris was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, family member and friend. As a mother, she made many sacrifices to ensure that her children’s needs were met, and they knew that she loved them.
As a grandmother, she would spend quality time developing a relationship with each of her grandchildren. They all have their own unique experience with her that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
She always went out of her way to care and protect those she loved dearly. However loving she was…she was equally as stern. Her family knew her as one to always speak her mind.
She had many things she enjoyed, but her favorite things were; collecting family photos, watching soap operas, listening to music, and engaging with other seniors in her community. For those who knew her well, also know much she loved posting on Facebook!
She will truly be missed by all.
