Jenneth Ann Phillips, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at Community Hospital East.
Born on June 12, 1942, Jenneth was the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth and Elvira “Veda” (Fosso) Phillips.
Jenneth lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, community, and service. She was a lifelong and devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where she generously volunteered her time and talents in support of parish activities and ministries.
Guided by her desire to help others, Jenneth worked for Goodwill Industries in her younger years. She later dedicated herself to serving at A Miracle Place, a near-eastside outreach ministry founded by the Sisters of Providence that provides refuge, meals, and a safe haven for local children and adults. Through her work and volunteer service, she touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit.
Jenneth was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Elvira (Fosso) Phillips, and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Antonia “Anna” Velona-Fosso.
She is survived by her loving cousins, Ann Marie Smyth, who faithfully cared for her during her later years, Nancy Fosso-Allee and several others; several extended family members; and many dear friends, including Jackie Lunsford and Sister Barbara McClland. She also leaves behind a community that will deeply miss her warmth, faith, and friendship.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Jenneths’ life will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 435 W. Troy Ave., on Thursday June 25, 2026, at 10am, with urn burial directly following at St. Joseph Cemetery.
May she rest in the peace of Christ
