Jenile Gilbreath

March 27, 1940 — August 25, 2015

In loving memory as we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves behind her greatest joys: Husband Jim Gilbreath of 55 years, Daughters: Amy (Scot) Ricker of Indianapolis, Kelly (Dave) Barrett of Carmel, Grandchildren: Molly Ricker of Dallas, TX, Katie Barrett, Max Ricker and Jake Barrett of Indianapolis, IN. She loved her family and Lord more than anything. She touched so many of our lives with her heart of gold. She was uplifting with her smile or hug letting her light shine through showing her faith to all. 27 years ago they moved from Noblesville to Punta Gorda, FL in retirement allowing her ample time to volunteer at the First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda,FL in the office and teaching kindergarten Sunday school which kept her connected to children that she adored. She also leaves behind extended family of Jill, Kate and Eric, Anne Marie and Emma her self adopted grandkids but she always had love to spread around to all those in her reach. Many of you know of her great love for dogs following many years of being without a pet, except for her Grand dogs they adopted Max a black poodle that brought her much happiness. She spent her life volunteering in every aspect helping others and showing her Love for all as a CampFire Girl leader, PTO President, hospital volunteer both at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville and Charlotte Medical Center in Punta Gorda and teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school since she was 16. 2 verses that depict her were 1 John 4:8 " whoever does not know love does not know God, because God is Love." And Matthew 7:12 "so in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you". These 2 verses were her guiding principles that she taught all of us through her actions. One of her greatest joys was her fellowship and love from her Extraordinary Women group devoted to sharing their love of the Lord and for others. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten as her spirit lives on through all that she touched.
