Jeffrey Sturgeon 4/12/2000 - 12/30/2024

Jeffrey was the oldest child; the firstborn. He gave his parents the wonderful gift of parenthood, and now he's given the gift of life to so many people as an organ donor. He had touched so many lives, was loved by everyone who knew him and is already terribly missed.

As a child, Jeffrey enjoyed swimming, playing catch, playing basketball, and riding his bike. He played Little League baseball for 2 years and was a member of the Boy Scouts for 3 years. He was also a proud member of the undefeated Lebanon Tigers 6th grade football team in 2011. He worked hard to overcome the challenges of having autism spectrum disorder and ADHD and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2018.

Jeffrey loved hiking and camping with his dad and brother. His favorite spots were Eagle Creek, Turkey Run, and Rathbun Lake in Iowa. He liked walking everywhere, no matter how far, even in the rain or snow. He loved being outside and had frequently talked about wanting to be a park ranger. He also enjoyed spending time indoors with his mom, whether they were watching movies, dancing, or just joking around. He always looked forward to dinner dates with his mom, as well as helping her make his favorite dish, spaghetti with meat sauce. He also had an insatiable appetite for ramen.

At home, Jeffrey could always be found watching YouTube or playing video games such as Minecraft, The Last of Us, and most especially Skyrim. He was a huge fan of anime and often spoke about wanting to visit Japan. He was interested in computers and liked to know how things worked. He was always eager to learn and try new things. Jeffrey always had his noise-canceling headphones with him. He loved listening to music; his favorites were techno, nu-metal, and classic rock.

He was preceded by his grandparents, Greg and Reva Sturgeon, grandparents Chester Goings and Rebecca Sullivan, his uncle Justin, and great-grandparents Raymond "Bud" Wade and Rosemary Wade.

Survived by his parents, Gordon Sturgeon (Lynette Rowland) and Michelle Stewart (Chris Harris), his brother Ryan Sturgeon (Caitlin Murphy) and sister Marah Stewart, his grandmother Linda Sturgeon, great uncle Gordon (Connie) Sturgeon, great aunt Ramona (Kenny) Bellew, great uncles David (Sue) Wade, Denver Wade, great aunt Marsha "Jessi" Glick, and many cousins and nephews. He also left behind two dogs, Meeko and Gotti, who loved him very much.
