Jeffrey R. White 56 of Indianapolis, IN passed away January 3, 2014. He was born on June 15, 1957 in Franklin, Indiana. Jeffrey was a Substitute Teacher for the Plainfield School Corporation at the high school. Jeffrey was a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He was very involved at his church, West Newton United Methodist Church, especially with the youth. He was an avid Chicago Blackhawks hockey fan, loved tennis, playing Wii with the step-grandchildren, collecting comic books, storytelling and had a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his loving family, Anne L. (Collins) White, step-daughters, Beth (Mark) Siple, Cindy (Ray) Ball, step-grandchildren, Spencer Siple, Tristan Ball, brother Roger White, sister, Jayne Hayden and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger Ray and Loretta Ruth (Hynek) White. Services will be held at his church, West Newton United Methodist Church, 6843 Mendenhall Road, Indianapolis, IN on Friday, January 10, 2014 7 PM with Rev. Don Zlaty officiating. The family invites you to visit with them at the church prior to the service from 4PM until the service. His burial will take place the following day, Saturday, January 11th at 11 AM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens-Greenwood, IN with family and friends meeting at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur at 10 AM to travel to the cemetery in a procession. The family suggest memorial gifts be directed to his beloved church, West Newton United Methodist Church. Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur is honored and entrusted with the final arrangements for Jeffrey. You are invited to go to the Guest Book page to pass along your personal message or tell a story.
