Jeffery Hugh Buis

Jeff Buis, 58, of New Palestine,  passed away peacefully in his home on July 14, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1962 in Indianapolis to the late Hugh Buis and the late Marilyn Buis Jester. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Thomas Jester. He grew up in Hope, Indiana and graduated from Hauser High School in 1980. On  March 23rd, 1991, he married Lisa Henn.

Jeff received an Associate’s Degree from Vincennes University and soon after began a 12 year career with the Indianapolis Star News as a district sales manager. Jeff went on to have a  successful sales career and spent his last 2 years employed  with H.T. Hackney. He loved fishing, golfing and being a father. He was an active member of Brookville Road Community Church.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa (Henn) Buis; his three children, Hunter, Annie (Riley Bravard), and Seth Buis; his sisters Cynthia (Robert) Canaday, Teresa (Gill) Pierce, and Mary (Michael) Moody. He also leaves behind his beloved mother and father-in-law, Vicki and John Liedell; sister in law, Laura (Corey) Johnston, brothers in law, Christopher Henn, and Robert Henn, as well as many adored nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Brookville Road Community Church (7480 W US Hwy 52, New Palestine) on Sunday, July 18 at 2pm with funeral service at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookville Road Community Church or Hope Center Indy.
