Jeanne Smith

Jeanne Anne Smith, 92 of Carmel, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. Jeanne was born April 25, 1921 in Akron, Ohio to the late Thomas B and Mae Huhtaoja Antoniotti. She was raised since a child by Emma Antoniotti Jackson. Jeanne worked for Delco-Remy for 32 years. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, knitting and her beloved dogs. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 5 in the chapel at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 to 11:00 on Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. Jeanne was the widow of Carl W. Smith. She is survived by her children, Thomas Lee (wife, Joy) Smith and Carol S. (husband, Michael) Ruggiero; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Jennifer Smith and Alexis Ruggiero; step grandchildren, Michael (wife, Kimberly) Ruggiero and Christopher (wife, Catherine) Ruggiero; great grandchildren, Tyler and Amber; step great grandchildren, Nicholas, Max and Simone Ruggiero; and her beloved dogs, Lyla and Lola. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jeanne Smith and her brother, Robert Antoniotti. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
