Jeanne Alice Smith

Jeanne Alice Smith, 91, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022.

She was born on April 16, 1931 to Fred and Helen Kemmerle.

Jeanne was a devoted gardener and loved choosing only the most unique plants to fill her yard. Much like her garden, she was a unique and delightful woman who played the accordion and enjoyed Polka music.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church on East 10^th Street and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Ron Smith (Jeri), Shawn Smith (Sheila), Jeanne Muzzillo, Lorraine Kemmerle, and Maureen Bard (Stephen); grandchildren, Clara and Curran Smith, Shawn, Jenelle, and Emily Smith, Christopher and Anthony Muzzillo, Bridget and Brendan Bard, and Aaron and Adam Khan; several great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Marie Kemmerle.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert H. Smith; her parents, her infant daughter, Theresa Smith; and brothers, Fred and James Kemmerle.

Jeanne’s funeral service will be held 11:30 am Monday, May 9, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with entombment to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
